My name's Karen and I've just joined. I've spent the day getting to know the site, critiquing two pieces of work and uploading the first two chapters to my novel. Would someone be kind enough to critique them for me, please?

My work is entitled; The Familiar's Witch. It's a paranormal romance, but is listed in the Fantasy section as there seems to be no paranormal genre (either that or I've completely missed it)
