Basically it's a portrayal of underage sex, from the girl's POV. I hope it's a sensitive, honest description of her first time. I'm sure there are women out there who will recognise this experience, and others who won't. It's not meant to be a turn-on, especially as the participants are 15-year-olds. It's just a part of the ongoing story and a way of introducing Sue, whose sex life with Frith is responsible for much of what happens to him over the next 7 years or so.
