I had previously tried to put up a flashback chapter at this point in my novel, but decided it wasn't the right place for it, so instead I'm continuing the narrative from where I left off at chapter IX. I hope anyone who has been following this will forgive the clumsy way I'm going about the whole thing. It is a first effort for me and I'm essentially trying to teach myself how to write.
