Oh yeah, chapter three is in there too, because chapter 2 is quite short.

Will go look at it later, if I get the chance. Chapter 1 was cracking ....

PS I notice a bird motif running through it - just had a look at the first para: Crows, Finches ... is there a title in there?

Nah, I was listening to "Crow Jane" by Nick Cave when I was trying to come up with a name for the baddy, and Finch is the teacher from Chapter One of the Worm Machine.

In fact, Chapter Two of this novel runs parallel with Chapter One of the Worm Machine. Here we see Finch in his normal class, and he leaves because he hears a disturbance in another class. One of the lads near the door even recognise the voice as belonging to Brian Slater.

In Chapter One of the Worm Machine, Brian Slater kicks off and starts shouting. Moments later, Finch enters the room, having left his own class.

No real point to it. I just liked the character of Finch in the Worm Machine I decided to do something else with him.
