Hi All,

I'm here unashamedly to gather peer reviews of my novel-in-progress, Entropy. In return I promise to return the favour, to the site as a whole, with interest.

As is no doubt the case with all of you, I'm very proud of what I've produced so far, but I still seek uncompromising critiques only. That doesn't mean I'm after gratuitous insults, just firm-but-fair criticisms, where warranted. (Of course, praise is good too!).

I've uploaded ch1. Thank you so much in advance to all of you who are about to give of your time for me.

P.S. - I've joined the Novel II grp, but it doesn't have a critical mass of regular, active users. Only 3 people have been active within the grp during the last month! I'm thinking that this 'noticeboard' is a far better open-sesame to the site, and its regular users. What do you think?

Good evening, your Earlshipness. I think you'll find that, whether you're in a group or not, posting a message on here whenever you upload a piece of writing will be sure to bring it to everyone's attention.

Lots of members, like me, trawl the archive for new work. Others rely on a message in this forum.

Seeing as I'm here to be critiqued and to critique others, I feel the need to put myself about a bit, so to speak. As you've confirmed, the 'Introduce your Work' forum looks like the right springboard.

One more Q: Is there a rule, (or at least an unwritten rule), as to the ratio of critiquing, to being critiqued? 2:1? 4:1?

There's no unwritten rule. You give as much as you can... but in general, the more you give, the more you get back. The more you participate in the site, the more you benefit.
