Hi all. A person on another site recommended WW and I thought I would "test the water" to see what it is like.
I am still getting use to the site, so if anybody has any suggestions on what I should try out while I am here then please let me know.
Oh, I have discovered how to upload work so have uploaded the first 3 chapters of Hades Inc. I welcome any feedback - good, bad and indifferent.
Cheers.

Hi Aussie, and welcome to WW.
Well done for sussing out how to upload your work. Why don’t you have a look at the groups? Take a mooch around and see if there’s one that suits your writing. You can only join one while you're on a free tryout, so choose carefully. Once you're a full member you can join as many as you like. There’s no necessity to join any, but most people find it helpful to build relationships with like-minded writers. And if you read and offer constructive feedback on other people’s work they’ll more than likely return the favour and comment on yours.
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy being here.

Thanks Dee. I tried to join a group but got a message saying that I had to be a full paying member to sign up to a group. Any ideas?

Hmm… something not right there. I've just double checked and you should be able to join one group while you're on your free trial period. I’ll contact David, the admin guy and ask him to check for you.

Hi Aussie, and welcome. As a trial member you should be able to join one group for your trial period, and upload one piece of work to it. Which group were you trying to join, and did you do so by clicking the link near the top of the group page?
Thanks
David

Oops. Apologies Dee and David. I can join a group but I have to provide a reasoning why I want to join the group before I can be approved and then I have access for a week.
What happens if I join the group and then realise it wasn't the right group?

Hopefully joining one group will give you a sense of how things work for you around here, even if it's not the best group for you - then if you decide to become a full/community member you can join as many groups as you like.

Excellent. Thanks David and apologies for the confusion.
