  • Memoirs of an Ostrich. Chapter 2
by Nell at 19:12 on 22 July 2003
I've just uploaded chapter 2 of Boris' memoirs. Any feedback is welcome - please feel free to be completely frank, I can take it. Blurb below.

Boris Temple-Parsons is an ostrich. Finding himself unexpectedly suspended from the medical practice where he works as a G.P., he decides to fill these three months writing his memoirs. As the memoirs expand to include the events taking place around him it is obvious that his wife Bar is having an affair, his younger daughter is playing truant from school, his elder daughter is pregnant and his son is gay. Something is wrong with his old car, and the indigestion he suffers may not be indigestion at all, but something far more serious. Boris can see none of this, and as he continues on his bumbling way the reader becomes aware that his ostrichism is a lifelong characteristic from which he will find it difficult to escape.
