I am brand new to this site, a brand new author trying to get some exposure for my book. Therefore not really knowing how the site works I am going to plug my book and also try and get some advice from some of you. I wrote a book at the end of a long and I might add successful career as a salesman in the FMCG industry in Southern Africa. The reason I wrote the book was primarily to give back a little of my experience, to try and help just a few people. I have this real belief that people are not treated by business or organizations as assets. A business's brands are treated with velvet gloves, not so the people who manufacture, market and sell the brand. Reality is without people doing good things the brand would never have come into existance. People are viewed at best as replaceble assets, assets that are sweated to get maximum value with minimum investment in maintenance. If we all just placed more importance on how we treat people, if we really did treat them as the most important asset in our business's, we would achieve a much higher return than we could ever get from our brands.
I am passionate about this book, it is real and I want to get the message out. If any of you know the secret please share it with me.
What sort of advice are you looking for, salesman? If you are self-published, then there are past WW threads on how best to market your book.
