Chapter 5 The Brewery (uploaded 28 June 2003)
Prologue – 1000BC
Priestess Icera has been newly crowned Queen of the May. She witnesses the arrival of a star that falls from the heavens and almost destroys the Wildenfolk, the Celtic tribe to whom she belongs. However, they see it as an affirmation from the gods of her status as ‘the chosen one’.
Chapter One
The action moves to the present day.
It is the eve of May. The Ooser, a personification of the Horned One, the ancient Celtic god, parades through the village of Witchbury at the mid-day Beltane Ceremony. Erica experiences an awakening through a primitive power.
Chapter Two
Vicky rescues her from her predicament and they become friends, and through a Tarot reading, Vicky tells her fortune. She foretells that Erica will make a discovery, and also that in some way, two pieces that have been separated, will be reunited.
Background
Erica Janus has been married for twenty years to Simon, who has been newly elected, as the local Member of Parliament. Erica, and as a consequence, has returned to live in Dorset, the county of her birth. The homecoming releases from within her, a deep affinity with the ancient landscape. Unfortunately, this also coincides with a loss of affinity for Simon, and she starts to question the state of her marriage.
While out walking with her dog, at the Lady Pool in the Oakenland, Erica discovers an unusual and mysterious crystal and her adventures begin.
If you have any questions about the overall nature of the book or individual points you would wish to develop separately from the comments on the lists, please let me know on here or through EMail and I am happy to answer any queries.
