I'm a new (trial) member and just wanted to get a taste before paying for a full membership.
I'm writing a horror/comedy fiction book for children and young adults (maybe 12 - 16), which group should I join?
Derek.

Hello!
I'd say the Children's group.

Gosh, horror/comedy for children, that's a mixed bag... depends what you want to focus on most I'd say, are you concerned about writing for the right age, for instance, or more concerned about your genres? on the other hand- not to confuse you even more!- you could try a general fiction group. Good luck, whichever you choose!

The children's group says 'full'...but maybe that's not a bad thing because I'm not sure it's the right place to be...
The important thing for me is to be in a group with people who can help me. I'm not trying to target an age group with the book...just writing from the heart for anyone who's interested. Reading my story back though, I thought it would suit the younger audience.
I'll try general fiction...

Perhaps you could read a small section of my story Anna? I'd love some feedback from an expert.
I haven't uploaded it yet but will if you have time to look (I haven't put it on yet because I only have one chance as a trial member). I could even paste a bit on here if you like?
Derek.

Derek, work should only be uploaded in the archive or a group. I don't think I'm necessarily the best person to take a look, as anything for younger readers and genre is not my bag, so won't be as helpful as members such as Terry edge and others- why not join a group, and then upload the work and draw attention to it by posting in ths forum? this way people will be much more aware of it and hopefully you'll get some useful responses. And of course other site experts will be able to see and hopefully comment.
