Ben, yes it is a story, it has a fairly complex character and a dilemna and action.

Is a dilemma essential to a story then Becca?

Interesting question Nell! Um....my immediate thought would be so say no, but I would be interested to read others thoughts and be convinced otherwise. As I sit here mentally going through all the books I have recently read, I am thinking, well depending on your definition of dilemma, could be it does after all???? Interesting!

Generally I think it true that most stories have a conflict of one sort or another, even if it's only in one of the character's minds. But isn't that true also of novels?
