AISLING SMITH is a typical eleven year old living in the Forest of Dean, until her Grandad is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and his cat, Jenson, comes to live with her. Aisling tells Mum about Grandad’s unusual behaviour and feels responsible when he has to leave his bungalow and move to a retirement home.
She watches her Mum struggle to come to terms both with Grandad’s illness, and her own guilt for not being in a position to look after him.
Aisling is sure that if Grandad could come to live with them, then everything would be okay, but circumstances make it impossible…until Aisling dreams.
