Scary, pompous title. But I like it, and those who are not rendered instantly comatose by the prose may eventually forgive me for using it. It's my 2nd novel, not a short story so those of you who stay along for the ride, I thank you a millionfold in advance.

I've just (fundamentally) edited the prologue as well as and 1 and 2 and would really appreciate any opinions as to whether this has actually improved the piece.
