Where does this excerpt come in the book, Cobalt?

Hi Naomi,
The excerpt is chapter one of my book FABLE. I have uploaded it to get other writers comments on it. To be honest I am not happy with it and already re-writing it.
As a new member to Writewords I am making a few mistakes, like missing the WWW. Also I have been informed that I should have perhaps split this chapter into two and posted it on two different occasions.
Oh well live and learn. Hope you can take some time out and comment on my work.

We all make mistakes when we first join , but you'll soon get the hang of it, and it's always worth joining one of the Writing Groups to post your work in and get to know members who write in the same genre.
