Thanks to Dee and Sharon for your comments, and for sticking with me. I'm going to catch up with Terrestrial and The Winter House while I'm abroad. I have slightly revised the tale now, just the points you made, and it's still here if anyone else would like to comment.
Thnaks Dee. I'm refreshing this for the last time as it is still open for further comments. The piece does almost stand as a stand alone piece, so don't worry if you haven't read the preceeding chapters.
I read it and I really enjoyed it. Seemed original and bizarre, just the way I like it. I have not seen any of the other chapters as I dont have access but I look forward to the next one. I guess it vaguely reminded me of Dark Omens, by Gaiman and Pratchet, but only because of the anti-christ character.
No, it's nothing like that story. Basically, though I kind of enjoyed the book, I couldn't help but feel they'd wasted a really good idea on abstract sillyness with a ridiculous plot and unbelievable characters. Don't get me wrong, I love Gaiman, but I didn't feel it was his best.
