Hi. Ive introduced myself on the Travel forum but seems a bit frosty on there.

I am a student with the Open University and a newbie to this forum. I find it a bit confusing at the moment. Am I correct in saying that work has to be typed up rather than sent as an attachment?

I don't think any of the forums are frosty Souldesire! But some of them are quiet.

Yes, if I've understood you correctly, you need to upload your work - in the top right hand corner of your screeen, where it tells you you're logged in, there should be a button saying 'Upload Work'.

I'm not sure what you mean by typed up - I assume you have the document as a file on your computer?

As Jess says, Travel has been quiet for several months. Activity relies on members uploading their work for comment, and it is always worth bringing it to people's attention by popping a note in the Introduce Your Work forum.

You might find an answer to your question about Travel Mags by using the Write Words Search facility - I recall someone asking a similar question a few months ago on one of the forums. If you don't find the answers you are looking for, could try placing a query in the Private Members forum, which is visited by WW members from across the whole website.
