  • new book... The Joy of Debt.... A true story!
by Debtboy at 21:45 on 02 August 2007
The true story of a 29 year old guy facing up to being a £100k in debt and how he paid that all off over a 4 year period.

But it is less about how he paid it off but how being in debt affected him. The sense of failure, the depression, the lack of confidence, the effect on relationships, the assumptions people make and how they react.

It’s about sacrifices and priorities, fears and frustrations and even hopes and dreams.

It tells of broader issues like what really is important in life, why people judge others too much and why we care too much about what people think.

Why having options is important but how money should never rule your life whether you have it or not!

The Joy of Debt tells of the pain and despair of being in debt but balances it with a sense of perspective that people all too often forget (and a sense of humour!)

Think about all the things that bring you joy and make you smile…. Not many of them are reliant upon having money!

It may make you cry, it will hopefully make you smile and laugh but it will definitely make you think!
