Aw shucks! I’m almost shedding a little tear here. I’ve just uploaded the last chapter and the epilogue of Paying For The Gallery.
It’s been quite an experience and now I’m hooked on feedback… dreading the cold turkey!
I’d like to thank everyone who has commented – and still are commenting - on PFTG… but I don’t know how to thank you enough. I believe it’s a much better novel now than it was. It’s tighter, more polished, flows better and, as far as I can tell, is glitch-free. And I couldn’t have done it without your fresh eyes and attention to detail.
Hi Dee I haven't commented on previous chapters as I felt the story was alredy too far along for this to make sense. I'll take a look at your finale though, and read it simply as an ending if that's ok.
Elspeth, this was the first novel I sent to my agent but he rejected it at the full ms stage. He then accepted Driving Force, my other finished novel - which you haven't seen.
I've asked him if he'll re-read PFTG but he won't. However, now that I'm happy with it (I actually think it's better than DF) I'll keep it up my sleeve for when I get a publisher.
In the meantime I'm three-quarters of the way through my next one.
I am obsessed with writing (BIG understatement there!) so it's all I do... apart from working full time...
Thanks for your help with PFTG. It's been invaluable.
The posting in the archive has screwed up a tadge. I’ve asked David to sort it out but, from the length of time WW has been offline this morning, he seems to have his hands full.
In the meantime, if you’d like to comment, you could do it here…
I dumped the epilogue because I agree with the comments - that it doesn't actually add anything to the story.
And, funnily enough, I am planning a sequel - surprise surprise - and the epilogue was already placing a time restraint on the ideas for that... so it had to go.
Hi Dee, I was wondering if you'd already written the synopsis for PFTG? I'd be very interested in reading it, having read (most of) the book - but also understand if you don't feel like posting it.
