Hi, I’m logged in as Eyeball, but if that makes you think of me as a giant eyeball on a stalk, you can call me Sharon. I’ve just joined and spent a week looking round the site and reading some of your wonderful stuff. I’m a bit confused about which group to join. I’m mostly into novel writing, but want to get more into short stories as well. Is there any particular difference between the two novel groups and between the short story and fiction groups? Can y’all advise, please?
    Ta, Eyeball

I'm not sure Sharon, but just wanted to say hello and welcome to WW!

Thanks James/Waxlyrikal. I love the Eurydice on rollerskates image on your profile.

I'm a member of two groups, but to be honest, most of the general discussion goes on in the forums. You don't have to upload your work to any particular group, just stick a note on the Introduce Your Work forum and people will come and have a look.

By the way, if you are wanting to get into short stories, you might want to keep a lookout for the next RLG (or have a look at the last ones). The letters stand for Random Line Generator - each month someone comes up with a first line and people try to come up with something, either poetry or fiction, which includes that as a first line. It's an active and popular part of the site. Welcome aboard.
