This is another song from my ongoing album project, a collaborative work titled Polar Heart Songs. I am collaborating with several musicians from different genres and the general feel of the music is somewhat hollow – steely electronica meets acoustic blues.

A female country vocalist sings The Queen of the Lover Undone from the perspective of a teenage girl, who once fell in love with a female divorcee. The older woman has recently survived an abusive marriage to an alcoholic.

Sadly, like the best love songs, it ends in tragedy, but of course, the memory, and the mystery, remains.
