...Is an apocalyptically dark comedy for the millenium. I've never tried comedy before, so I'm interested to see what people think. Thoughtful reviews/comments appreciated and reciprocated.

WARNING!: This piece contains, among other things, bad language, sexual references and might even be considered blasphemous by some readers. The writer only wishes to amuse, and not to offend, so those of a delicate disposition should avoid the story like the plagues of Eygpt.

I'm thinking of expanding the story into a book now. Any comments?

Do you mean you'd follow the lives of some of the characters and then show the false image they're presenting in the chat room? Could be very interesting - very black! Would it be a look at contemporary religions too?

    James,

I'd be interested to see how this would develop into a book. It's a very modern concept with the popularity of chatrooms and the ever increasing development of spy software. I used to frequent a certain chatroom on AOL and that's why I found this story so appealing and amusingly familiar. I was really tickled by it. Anyway, there was a scare at one time about somebody getting their hands on software that could hack into Private Messages. This person was actually coming up with some information on some chatters that there was no way he would've gotten a hold of unless he was reading their messages somehow. It freaked those (who had something to hide ) out of their skin. There are some mighty strange people out there though and I think a story about the real lives behind the 'anonymous' faces of chatroom users would be a hoot. It would be quite a task though. If you need any stories/ideas about things that I've heard of or witnessed with much amusement I'd be happy to provide them.

    Good luck with it!

I'm starting with the day after, and the disbelief of the four main characters, (Bad_Habit, Ankh_Lady, Selma - who is slowly freaking out, and Rabbit -who is REALLY freaking out) who are scattered about the UK and America. I want to keep the idea comedic, and there seems a lot to be getting on with. I'm gonna do short chapters, and the main theme is going to be a kind of Apocalypse.com.

Obviously, to write the whole thing in a chat room doesn't work for me, so it's going to dip into some narrative. I'll post the next chapter up on here next week.

Thanks for the offer of help Nahed :)

Ok. the story is almost there:) I'm posting here to give the story a go down the list one more time and then I'll allow it to be swallowed by the archive. I'd really appreciate a couple more reviews or comments on the story if it's not too much trouble. I know how busy we all are!

    Thanks
