James,
I'd be interested to see how this would develop into a book. It's a very modern concept with the popularity of chatrooms and the ever increasing development of spy software. I used to frequent a certain chatroom on AOL and that's why I found this story so appealing and amusingly familiar. I was really tickled by it. Anyway, there was a scare at one time about somebody getting their hands on software that could hack into Private Messages. This person was actually coming up with some information on some chatters that there was no way he would've gotten a hold of unless he was reading their messages somehow. It freaked those (who had something to hide
) out of their skin. There are some mighty strange people out there though and I think a story about the real lives behind the 'anonymous' faces of chatroom users would be a hoot. It would be quite a task though. If you need any stories/ideas about things that I've heard of or witnessed with much amusement I'd be happy to provide them.
Good luck with it!
