I uploaded the first chapter of this WIP a while back under the working title 'Don't Cry For Me' (hated that title) - its real title is Invisible Bruises.

I've reworked/rewritten it and uploaded two chapters. I realise it's long and can't be read in one sitting but I would appreciate any helpful and constructive comments - in your own time.

    Thanks!

I like the new title, Nahed. I'll have a look.

    Thanks Elspeth,

It was actually always its title but I was being a bit precious with it (I hope nobody else uses it before this has a chance to be published! If at all!)

Look forward to reading your comments :D

    Hi Word --

I haven't seen any of this, so I'll go start at the beginning!

Dee very kindly brought to my attention an error I may have made in the first chapter in regards to Manchester trains stopping at King's Cross. I have to admit that I didn't research this until now.

Yes, Virgin trains stop at Euston, but there are indeed Midland trains that stop off at St Pancras.

I'm afraid I'm not a regular user of trains so a little ignorant about train stations - are King's Cross and St Pancras the same station? I know they're adjacent to each other but when they're referred to - they're referred to as King's Cross St Pancras....? So is it okay to say that the train stopped at St Pancras? or is it better (more commonly known) to say 'the train stopped at King's Cross' even though it's the St Pancras part of the station???

    Confused??

    Wordy

No - Kings Cross and St Pancras are two different stations, housed in two different buildings. Yes - they are very close to each other - separated by a single road (York Way, if my memory serves me correctly).

I think - could be wrong here - that the underground staion that serves them is known as Kings Cross and St Pancras. Hence the confusion.

Hope this helps. I'm off to read the upload. (Sandwiches and thermos at the ready).

Are you in competition with Dee to see who can upload the highest wordcount? ('Spect I'll be in trouble now!) ;)

Thanks Johnno! I knew I could count you

I don't like to enter competitions I've no chance in hell of winning...and competing with Dee as far as word count goes - I'd lose miserably!! The lady writes novels over 100,000 words!! I'll just sit here in my 77,000 words max corner
