I know there's been a thread about this before, but it was a while ago so I've started another.

I haven't been receiving forum notifications for months, but now I'm not getting comment notifications either. And I'm a group host.

    Can anything be done?

(And, yes, I tick the box. And Notification is switched to ON in My WW.)

    Hi
Have you checked they are not going into your spam folder by mistake?

    Yep. They're not.

Funnily enough - I got a notification for your reply! First I've had for months.

I haven't had notifications for about a year - and it's hard work keeping up without them!
First I blamed WW Site [sorry, David], then I blamed my Firewall.
Now, it seems it may be my Service Provider being overzealous.
Supanet states in its small print:
At Supanet, we have filters on our email system which stop a great deal of unwanted email
so it seems THEY may be treating it as Spam without asking me.
I've emailed them about it, but they tend to do bugger-all unless a customer rings them on the premium-rate help line.

I didn't get notifications for ages, but my service provider swears they don't filter or anything. Eventually I changed to using the email address I have for Goldsmiths', and even though that automatically collected from there and routed to my home computer (therefore my ISP) it seems to get through fine.

I see why ISPs filter, but I do think there should be an option for you to let things you want through, as there is on one's own spam filters. I wonder if you could make a case for saying that ISPs were in breach of contract for filtering like this, based not on known bad sites, but much broader and therefore inaccurate criteria? After all, it's a bit like Royal Mail refusing to handle your post!
