Another possibility: for WWers in different locales to post flyers in their local libraries. That would be cheap publicity among people who read.

Me too, and I want to add that yet another thing that can help, in addition to those listed at the site Dee's linked to, is we can tell our writing groups about Bonfire - to consider buying a copy or a subscription, or to put up flyers, or send an email around to your writing acquaintances, etc.
