Behind the scenes, you may be quietly shocked, interested, bemused, amazed or totally uninterested to know that the entire writewords site has just moved lock stock and barrel from Ohio to Texas (don't worry, it's inland-Texas, out of the path of hurricanes!)
Please post here if you spot anything missing or acting strangely.
The benefits of the move include a much more reliable support team, and hopefully a return to email notification for aol and other users.
Wish us luck!

Ooh, the Big Country! - good luck, David!

I have always thought that WW operated from a room above the cake shop in the main square of St Albans, Hertfordshire. Shows you how wrong one can be.

Well I’ll be damned! I always though WW was based in London. Not that it matters, but I assumed a UK writers site would be in the UK.
Anyway… bookmarks don’t seem to be working.
Good luck in the new place.

Okay, here's something.
I can't get into this thread from the computer next to me.
Both are running the same version of windows and IE. Only difference being I've had to log in on this one this morning, the other is always logged in.
I'll try logging off and on again, see if that makes a difference.
-
Nope, still can't get into it.
Can't see this thread, or any of the recent pieces posted in the archive.
-
Hardly anybody is commenting on my uploaded work. It's clearly a fault with the website, and not at all a reflection of the quality of my writing *cough*.
Fix it please David.
*whistles to self*

All seems to be okay now here. On both machines. Thanks
-
Yeehah!
Well ah say boy, there's.. ah say, there's nothin' deefren' for me, no siree!
-
There goes any chance you might have had of the support team doing you any favours.
-
Dee - bookmarks should now work. Thanks
The email may be a bit off and on for the next few days - I'll put another call out once I believe it's fully functioning.
Some old versions of the site may still be flying around too - I've put a little - above the ww logo so you can tell you're on the new site - if it aint there you're on the old one. Anyone get any email notifications for this thread incidentally?
-
Hi David
I couldn't access Gina's story Ghostbusters that she had entered for the Flash challenge yet Nik Perring had no problem.
Perhaps a little Texas Tea around the squeaky bits. Just a thought.
Otherwise business as usual, thanks for asking
Cheers
John

David, This change is bloody marvellous! I get the email notifications now! Woo hoo!!!
A very happy AOL user,
Nik.

AOL users should be flogged, not taken account of.
