  • New Bookmarks feature

We've added a new 'bookmarks' feature today. The idea is both to allow users to have a useful place to save work they want to look at again/later, as well as to allow other members to see what you find interesting.

Beneath each work there is a new link allowing you to bookmark either work or author. Simply click the link, and it will be added to your bookmarks page. You can then access your bookmarks from your "my writewords" page, where you can also delete unwanted bookmarks.

Other members may view your bookmarks by looking at your profile.

If this feature gets used enough we're hoping to add an amazon-like suggestion box - 'if you liked that, you may like this' etc.

    Excellent!

Does this mean that if I bookmark a writer I’ll be notified when they upload a new piece of work?

Not yet, but we may be able to add that...

    I'll look forward to it.

    Thanks for that.
I was wondering whether there was a way to be alerted to new posts on a thread you're interested in, if you haven't posted yourself....
    Just a thought.

This is a really good initiative David, well done! May I add my voice to Dee's it would be really good to know when our favourite authors post. The
amazon-like suggestion box - 'if you liked that, you may like this'
would be really good too. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of good stuff simply because I don't have time to read everything.

Finally, I've said it before, but I'll say it again. This site is worth every penny of the thirty-five quid!

    Best

    Yup, great idea David.

I just wanted to echo Prospero's comments, that WW is worth every penny.

    Cheers,

    Nik.
