I agree with both your points, Bazz. I think the groups need to be streamlined - it seems to happen frequently that new members don't realise they've joined a group that is no longer active. If there is enough interest, then there is always the option to create a new group anyway. Also, as spammers are usually more likely to post on the forum, it would make sense if we could report forum posts too. 

People are still joining defunct groups, groups without hosts to help them...

Totally agree, Bazz. I've sent Andy a private email putting him in the picture. Hopefully it will do some good.

I admire your diligence, Bazz. Sadly I saw it but did nothing about it. I think my apathy gene is in overdrive but why am I telling you this? Who cares anyway?

Popping back in after a few months away to see the great changes that had been promised. Erm... Activity I was told was low due to the holiday period. And now? Well, one piece of work a day submitted this month doesn't seem that high to me. I'd love to post some work and be active but the high fee required for such a low activity site seems disproportunate. I've proposed a couple of things, streamlined groups, relaunching the short story group, haven't really got anywhere. I might join the short story group, give it a nudge, if there are a few people out there willing to give it the kick of life...?

I'll happily join the short story group, Bazz, but I'd probably be more of a commentator than a poster of stories. I wouldn't want to host it though, but I'm willing to get involved.

It would also be good to declutter the group, there's at least three people in it who haven't posted in over a year...

I'll join, but it might be a while before I have anything to post. I like writing the odd short story, but don't often have the time or the inspiration for one, lately.

Ok, I'm in. I've put in a request to join. 

I've a couple of non-fiction stories I could use some feedback on (I'm editing them for a competition), so may post one or the other. Always happy to read and comment on other people's work in return.
