David,

Along with your other work in sprucing up this site, the editor is just splendiferous.

Hmmm, as you can see, I think there are some problems when trying to edit! But basically I was trying to say it looks really good! Some emoticons would make it perfect.

I just tried editing a comment in another thread and the quote box disappeared.

David, will you be reinstating the automatic linking of URLs? If not - but I hope it's possible - could we nonetheless have a button to create links ourselves?

Thanks Emma - the font option was causing a few problems so we've removed that for now, and added the link option (which only appears after a member gains 50 points to prevent spam) and - something which I know will be a hit - a nice new smiley option <img alt="wink" height="23" src="http://writewords.org.uk/admin/ckeditorfull/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png" title="wink" width="23" />

Yay, smilies. 

Did someone mention smilies? A smiley option? Forget writing, let's just smile! 

I must admit I wasn't too sure about the necessity of the font option. The page could end up looking a bit scrappy if it was all in different fonts and having a link option instead is more useful.
