I'm not happy, logging into Ww tonite - a box came up, saying if i answered a 30 second etc. so, in good faith, i answered the questions. At the end,to put into the draw for the prizes, i had to give my mobile no. (as i understand it) and my network, and then agree to pay £4.50 a week to be in with a chance to win. None of this was explained before i agreed to answer the questions.
What a rip-off.

a 3- second survey, that is...

urgh, not posted properly - what the box said was that if i answered the 30 second survey about ww, i'd be in the running for winning a prize

I've logged in tonight on a virus-ridden pc (my daughter uses it for goodness knows what and it churns for ages doing supposed virus checks when I no longer have a functioning virus checker on this pc) but do you think you might have picked up a spam virus of some sort that links to WW?
I don't know much about this, but one of the more technical bods on this site may well be able to explain.

Meant to say I didn't have this issue.
-
Petal, have you reported it?
-
Spam postings appeared temporarily on all the public forums earlier today. I assume webmaster has taken them down. It looks like whoever's hacked in may have also introduced the thing you're referring to, Petal. I'd report it to David Bruce.
-
I've ww-mailed David Bruce drawing his attention to your posting and the thread.
-
Er - why would you do that though? Get a Mac!
-
No Emma, so thanks, Chris - i assumed the powers that be knew about it, as it is specific to WW - but having said that, Ww is very well managed and client-friendly, so maybe not.

we had some spam on the forums earlier, but nothing that would cause such spammy pop ups. The most likely cause is some kind of infection of your machine I'm afraid. Of course if other people do see this on ww please report it too, but to my knowledge so far we are not the cause of this.
Incidentally, we've had some server issues this evening which are also not related to this. Hence my replying at this ungodly hour!

I haven't had this. It sounds as if you have a virus or something
-
Either a virus or your pop-up blocker has stopped behaving itself.

Ah, okay, thanks everyone *sigh*, bloomin Pop-ups, they drive me mad. I don't know much about them at all, guess i should cram a bit on viruses...
Thanks for looking into it, David, much appreciated.
