A number of members have complained that work in the archive is visible on the internet and appears in Google searches. To date, this has been the default for work on the site. To cater for members who only want WW Members to be able to see the work, we've added a new option when you upload or edit a piece of work. You now have four choices as to who can view your work:
- Anyone, including non-members (in which case the work may well appear in Google)
- WW Members Only - the work will only be visible to logged in members of the site
- Group Members Only - the work will only be visible to group members in the group to which you have uploaded the work
- Just Yourself - this option is just in case you want to temporarily hide something to come back to at a later date (By the way, don't use this as a back up - we don't make any guarantees about the reliability of our server!!)
For those of you who want to change the setting of an existing work, simply go to your My WriteWords page, and click edit next to the work in question. Then select the new option where it says 'Who can view this?'
Any questions or comments, please put them here on the forum.
