Caroline's thread in the private members forum got me thinking...we used to have a very lively group for those of us who teach creative writing/run workshops/etc and it ran out of steam a while back...partly, I suspect, because everyone on it got too busy all about the same time. I'm wondering, do people feel they've like this group or one similar to be revived? If you're a CW teacher/tutor/lecturer/reader/Fellow/writer in residence, run the odd workshop or anything on this spectrum and you'd like a group specifically to discuss strategies, plan sessions, swap great exercises and suggestions or even just feedback from a terrible/wonderful/perplexing session/lesson, post here...
thanks
Anna

Anna, I really would like something like that but would prefer it to be a closed forum and I know that doesn't really work with the groups. I wouldn;t want my posts to be open to anyone to view. That's the only reason I didn;t suggest reviving it...

Yes, I agree with Caroline - it would be great, but it's hard to have a really useful discussion unless you can be confident that it's only among the group itself.
-
I totally agree that a closed forum would be the best idea. Is that possible?
-
Am debating it now with webmaster David! We have done this before, I'm sure... do you mean closed as in, only members of that group could view posts/make posts?
-
Yes...I work in a school and wouldn't want any of my comments to appear publicly. Fingers crossed!
-
Same here. That would be wonderful Anna, if it could be arranged.
-
I would be interested but what I've found is that I don't often have time to visit the group. But if one's formed, I would certainly like to join because there's nothing similar around as far as I know.
-
Well, I've proposed a group and if you'd all like to follow me
here and join, we will be go! It will be a closed group so no worries there.
-
Hurray! Thanks so much Anna. It will be completely private, yes?

I've just checked and, yes, all posts will only be visible to actual group members.
