I'd say single-spaced synopsis, double-spaced first 5 chaps. This is what i do for my actual sub packages.

But are the first five pages double or single? Do they want 1 500 words or 3 000? Sorry to be such a numpty but I'm getting the CWA sub ready and don't know whether to post it in its entirety or cut it by 50% for this.

Normally for a submission it would be doublespaced, but this isn't a submission, so I would have thought single spaced, but now you've asked I've no idea.

Helen specifies single-spaced for the synopsis. This in itself, to my mind, implies that she wants the first 5 pages double-spaced.

I don;t think it really matters, as long as the synopsis is as she asked, ie single-spaced.

If it doesn't confuse things any more, you can do up to a 2 page, single spaced, synopsis.

The single or double spaced first-five-pages hasn't been clarified yet.
