having an IQ of quite a lot and having been on the site a while I have only just worked out how to post a general forum but what do you expect from somebody who writes poetry

I have posted a forum on the write words lounge on POSTING NEW WORK which may interest some of you .

I have no intention of reposting it here

How do you post in the General Forum?

But IB, that says 'Write Words Forum' at the top. The General Forum doesn't have a 'New Topic' box to click on. (Thanks though.)

I assume you mean the forum home page which says 'General Forums' as opposed to the 'Group Forums' lower down the page - you can't post specifically to that, you just post to a specific forum - the list of which is shown on the right hand side of the forum home page. Any post to one of these forums gets shown in the list on the forum home page. Perhaps looking at it, the term General Forums there is actually a bit confusing.
