Hi, just reminding everyone that we're here. We've been open for a while and have quite a few members, but our raison d'etre is posting word counts and "being in it together" as we push forward with our drafts, much as in NaNoWriMo, and unfortunately not enough of us are actually writing and posting word counts atm!

So we would love some more active members! Please come and join us!

Sorry debac, am into the rewrites, but I will be back for the next story soon.

No probs, Issy. We have about 6 very active members who are making the forum buzz with daily word counts, plus quite a few lurkers, so if anyone wants to join us they are most welcome! It does help spur me on to read how much someone else has managed to write.

Hi Deb, I must admit to being one of those lurkers and I will do my best to do better.

What I would like to ask though is that there is something that I started 15 months ago and I would like to get it done and I wondered if that would be okay to use as a basis for fast first draft, even perhaps that it's not?
It's already over the 60000 word mark (I think, there are 9 chapters) but needs that "push" to get it the rest of the way.
Is that okay do you think?

Jim, I began my work in FFD with a 50k NaNoWriMo draft which needed to be upped to around 90k, and I'm currently at about 60k, so in the same place as you.

You are most welcome to join in with that goal!

Basically, anything goes in there so long as the focus is on word count. We don't critique and we don't distract each other by chatting about non-writing things, though chat about writing issues is welcome.

So please do pitch in. We'd love to have your input!
