Some of the groups here at WW have been filling up thick and fast, so we've just added three more:
Poetry III
Fiction III
Novel II
If you've been waiting for spaces to become available in another group, perhaps think of joining one of the these instead - they're likely to fill up pretty quickly.
See the Writers Groups home page for more info.

Hi, David! I joined WW recently, and would really like to get involved in the Short Story Group. Checking everyday for vacancies seems a bit hit and miss - is there a list I need to add myself to?
TIA...

Hi
Like Tabitha here, I've just joined as a part time member and I too was hoping to join the short stories group but it's full. I guess it would be nice to have a new group soon.
Thanks.

I'll be adding a new short story group later today. I agree that a waiting list or something is a good idea.
-
Thank you, David - that's great news! :-)
-
It's good news about setting up a 'waiting list'. Please let us know how to register.
Many thanks

Tybalt - I said it's a good idea - didn't say it exists yet!
It's on my (rather large) TO DO list!
The new short story group is live as well by the way.
-
Thanks David. Are we allowed now to belong to more than one group?

Full members can belong to more than one group, although we may limit it in the future if too many people 'sign up for everything'. Part members can have a month's trial of just one group.
-
Unless you change the format, if you limit the groups to which you can belong you will stifle the creativity of the members and eventually the site could die.
For instance I mainly write poetry, i may today write haiku next week comedy, the following week childrens and the following week a traditional poem if they all had to be posted in one group that would destroy the group genre idea if I could only belong to one group that would destroy my interest in the site
I totally support limitingthe number of posts in any group to one per member at a time but to limitthe membership of groups I would not support

Hi David
After a period of inactivity due to the arrival of a baby I'm now looking to start again adn am trying to find a group to join. Did the 'waiting list' thing ever rise to the top of your to-do list? If so please can you advise how it works?
Many thanks
Jacqui
