I agree re 'crit fatigue' Naomi - I don't see too much harm in people requesting a second look - within reason

(I'm interested, but what with Strictly posts and my own writing I think I'd only want to do a couple of crits a month).

As far as I can make out, we're heading towards an honour system of crit and be critted. So... provided it's reciprocal and we keep the thing alive...

If the work is set to 'visible to Group Members Only' then no, not unless you share another Group with that person.

I don't see why not? I tend to prefer to set my work to 'writewords members only'. I can see that maybe if people are posting their first three chapters in Naomi's group they might prefer to use 'group members only' and obviously it's up to individual discretion but I think if what we want to do is set up a place on the site where people looking to crit and be critted can find each other then 'open access' is the way forward?

I'd have no problem with someone joining the group to post a story for a competition - or a chapter of a WIP or whatever - doing their 3 crits to keep in credit then coming back when they're ready with the next piece.

The month thing is a guideline?

I think the more the merrier? I certainly don't want to exclude potential members who might be thinking - I'm not sure I can commit to an upload and 3 crits every month.

Something else I've been wondering about - site experts must have 'access all areas' to critique work on the site - whether it's set to 'group' or 'ww members only'?

I'm assuming setting to 'group members only' doesn't mean the site experts can't see it?
