We've added a new feature today to the showcase sites - a new CV page, where you can upload details of writing work you are looking for, be it workshops, residencies or commissions. We will then shortly be adding a search facility to the showcase section to allow prospective employers to find the right person for the job!
<Added>
by the way, you do this by going to your My WriteWords page, clicking Edit Showcase and then selecting the 'Create CV page' button.
David, are we allowed to get excited in thinking that more and more decision-makers are popping in for a look on the site???
Great idea and judging by the number of showcases, a popular one.
Elspeth
Elspeth - we do hope the new CV search will become somewhere that anyone looking for a writer to do any kind of writing-related project will be able to come and find the 'poet to run a course in Yorkshire' or whatever it may be. There are certainly plenty of powerful people popping in on the site from time to time (just follow the "new members" links on the bottom left and you'll soon see one) and we hope this will encourage them to hang around.
David, the problem with the New Members link is that they drop off so quickly. If we don’t check them every day we miss them and there doesn’t seem to be any way to check back on them. Perhaps the list could be longer or we could have access to a chronological archive?
Speaking of new members – am I alone in thinking that we should expect at least a passing interest in writing???
