  • Happy New Year!
by Dee at 19:58 on 31 December 2008
I just wanted to wish everyone all the best for 2009. Sorry I haven’t been as active as usual this year, but it’s been a bit pisspotical. Stress at work and no good news from publishers led to a long period of depression, and to the decision to retire on my 60th birthday in about five weeks time.

I'm fully recovered now, looking forward to my change of lifestyle, and have had an idea for a new book – something completely different to my usual stuff. Whether it’ll work out remains to be seen, but it’s a relief just to have a new idea drop into my head!

Best wishes, everyone, and here’s hoping it’s a good year for us all.

    Dee

Enjoy your retirement, Dee, and great to hear you're continuing with the writing.

Personally, I'm looking forward to a warm and dry 2009 - where's Global Warming when you need it?

Really glad you're recovered, Dee, and that you're going to retire - a great decision which will allow you to be totally committed to your writing. You've got an agent - publication is the next step for 2009!

Very Happy New Year to you, Dee, and to everyone.

What a tough time, and no wonder it knocked you off balance. But retirement sounds great, and here's to the new novel!

    Happy New Year Dee

It will be good to see you around more on WW, and I hope this year works out really well for you, in your writing and in general.

Happy New Year Dee! Glad to hear things are turning around for you. Best of luck in your retirement and with the new project. (Love the word 'pisspotical' by the way.)

Happy New Year to everyone else!
