For a while now we've had the 'bookmarked authors' section on your profile/my writewords page. Now we've just added the option of receiving email notifications when the bookmarked author uploads a new work, making it much easier to keep up with what your favourite members are posting.
To add an author to your bookmarks, look for the 'Bookmark this author' link at the bottom of one of their current pieces of work, of on their profile page.
To change notification settings go to your bookmarked author section (via your my writewords page) and click the link next to the author.

Thanks David, that's great and will make stalking my favourite WWers easier.
But you shouldn't be doing this stuff on a Sunday. You should be in the garden with a glass of Pimms.

Tee hee (that was to Rainstop.)
If you bookmark someone, will they know you have?

Ok, right, you know because it says in my bookmarks. A-ha. But would she know, unless she happened to be looking in my bookmarks?
(am feeling a bit stalk-y now, btw)

there's no notification of when someone bookmarks you at present. And Rainstop - be grateful it's been done at all, it's been in my to do list for months!

Hi David - just wondering because i used to use the "recent" button on the outside forums and now I can't see where it is - it is just a list of all the forums. Is there another way of finding recent posts? Thanks!

Many thanks, David!

Dear David,
A dark sickening wave of ontological insecurity hit me when I saw that novel one is not in the drop-down.

It is - it's just called Novel Writers for some reason

In an attempt to be even-handed I set out to bookmark everyone on Writewords. I had about seventy usernames in when my inbox exploded and our server at work crashed. Just thought I'd better warn everyone else not to cast the net too widely with this new facility.
