Thanks for everyone's messages of support; it means a lot to me.

This site has developed very organically so far, and I'm sure none of us know where it will end up. But it strikes me that these days any kind of developing writers' collective is a good thing, in that we are trying to get our work accepted by what are mostly very large businesses who do work collectively, even if we might not always agree with their motives. The more we can improve our work, and improve our approach to selling it, by sharing our experience, the better chance we'll have of seeing good writing get into print.
