We are going to be moving to a new server sometime in the next week. Although we hope this will be a smooth process, there is a chance that some work uploaded during this period will get lost. Please everyone ensure you have copies of work uploaded during the next week or so. Existing work should not be affected - we have that backed up already (although, as mentioned in the terms of service, we make no guarantees about that either!)

does that mean an improved service David faster page loading or is it just a general upgrade

We've had a few problems with the current server - it's been going down for an hour or more at regular intervals, so we're simply moving machines. Are you still experiencing slowness? My impression has been that the site was quite fast over the past couple of weeks. ?

David only very intermittently but that may coincide with the other problems you have just mentioned normally the site loads OK

about two hours ago the site stopped logging me in automatically and has been asking me to sign back in randomly between pages.

I'm finding it quite hard to get onto WW , the page takes ages to load, or doesn't and I get the "busy Server" message.
Or, once I'm on the homepage and want to go to another section it just sits for ages doing nothing...
this seems to happen intermmitently, it was bad over the weekend, fine yesterday, but now it's bad again this morning. Is it just weight of 'traffic'?

tc - yes, I'm getting something similar. Something to do with the new server, but haven't figured it out yet. It tends to be OK if you close the browser and open it again - but it's something I will have to get sorted.

I've been noticing this problem with a number of other sites over the past couple of days and was experiencing it up until this afternoon when I downloaded and installed all the Windows updates. Now everything seems to be fine, so people might want to give that a try too.

I believe, big fingers crossed, that I have found the issue, to do with our amazon feed links, which I have now suspended, and the site appears to be zinging along. Anyone still experiencing problems?

Yep. It's zinging! No problems at the moment (although I wasn't able to get on about ten minutes ago!)

Have zinged thus far tonight, David, but am only doing a quick check-in. Will be able to give you a more accurate report tomorrow, when I'll stick around for longer.
