Just wondered how author interviews come about. How do you go about approaching them, do they approach you? There are a number of authors who I'd like to see interviewed so can we put our suggestions forward? Maybe people could even try and contact favourite authors and ask them to do an interview.

Anyway just a thought, what does everyone else think?

We approach them. We try to find people who we think will have something of interest to say to members. Suggestions are by all means welcomed, though of course we can't guarantee anything.

Just to add to that, we very much try and interview people who may shed some light on either their own writing success, or in the case of magazines/small publishers etc, people who we would like to have a connection to or who might be more receptive to approaches from WW members than your average publisher/mag/agent etc.

    Well my wish list is

    David Mitchell
    Rick Moody
    Haruki Murakami

I actually met Jeffrey Archer the other day, and was considering asking him but he seemed to be in a bit of a mood. Not a fan but I'm sure he'd have so pretty useful info.
