We've introduced a new Private Members forum today. The purpose of the new forum is to separate out two strands of activity that occurred in the old "lounge" - posts on writing-related subjects, and chat on non-writing related subjects. The private members forum is therefore a place for members to discuss writing issues they wish to keep off the internet and out of the search engines. The lounge is solely for non-writing related discussions, and is also private.

We've also added an explanation in the guidelines before you post so you know whether the area you are posting in is private or not - the lounge, private members forum and all group forums are private, everything else is not.

Comments on work may or may not be private depending on how the author has chosen to set their work - we'll be adding a note there as well so you always know whether the post you make is private (ie - viewable by members only) or not.
