The name "chat room" has been ill-chosen. Nobody wants a chat room along the lines of the kind of thing you find on AOL, where people communicate in real time, posting one sentence at a time, and the text disappears after five minutes.

All people want is somewhere exactly like the Lounge, with the only difference being that posts don't hang around forever.

I used to have this problem a while ago. I can't remember what the problem was, but David cured it.

Griff, that's entirely my point. If all that is wanted is something exactly like the lounge but with the ability to delete posts or an expiry, surely it makes more sense to focus on changing the lounge, rather than creating something new and diluting the content of both.

The WW team will be having a meeting shortly to discuss all this and I'll report back what conclusions we come to.

Maybe sooner rather than later, David, so that this issue can be put to rest.
