We're delighted to annouce that
John Jarrold has agreed to become a site expert.
John is a science fiction editor who has edited numerous well known writers including Ian M Banks, Ray Bradbury and Michael Moorcock.
-
Ah, minutes after slamming his vague advice for new authors, it is announced he'll be hanging around the site regularly.
Burn, bridges, burn!
-
Great news, David.

Ray Bradbury! Now he must have class. I can't wait to read John's comments on people's work.

Sorry - I meant an experienced Editor from the world of publishing.
-
I like all those authors and have mostly read Moorcock's eternal champion series as well as some of the other stand alone volumes. Ray Bradbury's Illustrated Man and Something Wicked this Way Comes were also fabulous stories.
Welcome to WW John. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Anything by Ray Bradbury is fantastic! I love his adapation for his single episode of The Twilight Zone, based on one of his short stories, 'I Sing The Body Electric'.
The one Harry Harrison novel that I've been searching for years is Make Room! Make Room! the book was turned into the classic sci-fi film, 'Soylent Green'. It's unfortunately out of print.

Dear Dawn
I THINK I'm a real editor...I was when I looked in the mirror this morning. It's the pencil in hand and the watery eyes that tell their own story...
JJ

Cheers, James! we'll be in touch.

Let's just say thanks to you all for the welcome! Check out my website (mentioned in the interview) and let me know if I can do anything for you on the editing front. I'll also be making comments on the site, as and when...
Best
