    The next meeting of AN, which is the northern branch of the Society of Authors, is on Saturday, March 17th in Lancaster.

    The morning session is about what festivals can do for writers, and the afternoon is a talk by a biographer.

    I’ll be there, although I’ll probably leave after lunch to visit all my favourite haunts.

    Anyone else up for it?
