Ashlinn, I’ve never used an air-freshener diffuser, but I imagine it’s similar. It’s a little bottle of liquid that wicks up into a plug-in attachment. We can’t smell anything, but apparently it mimics cats’ facial pheromones. When they rub their cheek or their chin against something, they’re marking it as their own territory. It makes them feel secure, so it helps them settle in new homes. I got this one from my vet, but I've just discovered you can buy it cheaper on line.
