We've added a new printer-friendly link on each work now, so you can print out work to read without the surrounding writewords website borders.
(But I still say "Save trees - read online"!)

Brilliant idead, David.
Reading online hurts my eyes. And I like to print stuff so I can write notes on it in order to give a more thorough crit.
I have three recycling bins in my house, though, honest. And I don't give Xmas cards. And my shampoo is organic.

glad to hear it (:

Another excellent initiative David. Thank you for this. Is it possible to print the comments too, or would that lead to technical or legal complications?

David. There appears to be one small problem with the new facility. The rightmost character of the text is being partially or completely chopped off when printed to a standard laser printer. I have tried it on two Hewlett Packard Laser Jets (a 4P and a 4520) and a Lexmark C522. The same problem happens on each. The line length needs to be reduced (i.e. right margin increased) by just over a character's width to be certain of eliminating the problem. Hope it can be fixed without too much difficulty.

Chris any idea what your default paper size is?

Default paper size is A4 in all cases.

David - I don't know whether this might give you some clue. As an experiment I've printed 2 currently-uploaded items from Novel II using this method. List of Ides - 7 Ex-Special Weapons Project prints perfectly.
As yet untitled! however prints perfectly down to and including the summary, but, as soon as it gets to the italicised paragraph at the beginning of the main text, the truncation begins and continues throughout the unitalicised remainder of the piece.
