Hi, I wonder if you can help.  I'm a full member, but when I commented on a recent work, it said that my 'trial membership had expired' and I was no longer able to comment on work.  I wanted to edit the comment I had made, but it wouldn't allow me to (wanted to mention 6 characters instead of 4!).
Could you tell me why this is?  I have an ongoing DD payment so there should be no issue.
 

I get that sometimes, it's just a small bug, if you log out and log back in again, or refresh the page, it goes away. If it happens a lot, get in touch with David, or let me know on here and I'll have a word.

Thanks.  It did go away, but I couldn't edit the comment I had already made.  Is that not an option?

I wish we had a 'report' or 'dislike' button for spam...

I deleted the spam comment, and you can edit comments but only for a very short time after you have made them... will mentioned both to David, webmaster

Not keen on a dislike button as it would be there for all posts and could be abused in a bullying way for genuine members. And I thought there was a report this post  up there already. Maybe 2 reports - one for spam and one for abusive comments although that's probabably OTT. Shut up Tazzie. You're raving on again.

David reminded me that after many careful tweaks over the years, balancing the desire to re-edit with the desire to delete un-thought-through posts with the confusion it creates when things are changed we decided on allowing editing for an hour after posting, then only 'adding' is allowed.... there is a report button, but as I write this I cannot see it! Puzzling...

The Report This Post appears on critiques for posted stories, poems,etc but doesn't appear to be on forums or threads like this one. Not sure if it's always been that way. Hope this helps.

Sometimes, I find that I can't edit a post, even if I'm trying to do so immediately after I have posted (I'm thinking of FFD here).
