Mine were really boring... the only one that looked slightly interesting was
The joys of Yiddish
by Leo Rosten.

Number 1 was the Prodigal Daughter (Jeffrey Archer) but more interestingly - Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler.

I absolutely adored The Joyce of Yiddish and The Group. The most famous published in the year of my birth was a certain "The Catcher in the Rye". Also "The Cruel Saa" by Nicholas Monsarrat and "From Here to Eternity"
And loads I've never heard of!

Love Story at number 1!
Also on the list - John Fowles' The French Lieutenant's Woman and Deliverance by James Dickey.
And riding high in the non-fics - er, Inside the Third Reich by Alvert Speer... oh dear! And I thought Tony Blair was bad for cashing in...

The Silmarrillion was number one - I haven't heard of most of the rest. Obviously not a classic week...

Number one for fiction was Space - James A. Michener
Number one for non-fiction was Jane Fonda's workout book.
Jane Fonda actually had two in the top ten - both workout books.
Life, the Universe and Everything was in there which is nice to see, as was 2010: Odyssey Two.
